Monthly Somatic Body Awareness Practice

A monthly practice for slowing down, noticing, and reconnecting with your body
Next Practice: October 10
Time: 11 AM EST
Location: Online via Zoom
Duration: 60 minutes
Investment: $111 per person
What Is Somatic Body Awareness Practice?
Somatic Body Awareness Practice is a 60-minute guided experience designed to help you slow down, turn your attention inward, and become more aware of what is happening within your body.
Rather than focusing on changing or fixing what you feel, we practice noticing — sensations, tension, movement, breath, impulses, and subtle shifts in the body.
Each monthly session explores body awareness through a different approach. The structure and timing remain consistent, while the practice itself changes from session to session, giving you an opportunity to experience your body and your awareness in new ways.
Who Is This Practice For?
Somatic Body Awareness Practice is for anyone who wants to develop a deeper awareness of their body and become more connected to the signals, sensations, and experiences happening within them.
It can be an especially supportive place to begin if you’re curious about somatic work but aren’t ready to start with breathwork. It offers a gentler way to begin exploring your body and developing awareness at your own pace.
It may be especially supportive if you:
-
Spend much of your time in your head and want to reconnect with your body
-
Tend to push through stress, fatigue, or discomfort
-
Want to become more aware of tension, sensations, breath, and internal cues
-
Are curious about nervous-system regulation
-
Want to develop a more connected relationship with yourself
-
Are looking for a gentle introduction to somatic practices
No previous breathwork or somatic experience is required.
This Is Not a Meditation Practice
While meditation may involve observing thoughts or developing a particular relationship with the mind, Somatic Body Awareness Practice brings the focus primarily to the body.
Instead of trying to stop thinking or clear your mind, we explore what you can actually notice through sensation — changes in tension, temperature, pressure, movement, breath, ease, discomfort, impulses, and other signals arising in the body.
There is nothing you need to achieve and no particular state you need to reach.
The practice is about learning to notice what is already happening within you.
What You Can Expect
Each monthly practice offers a different way to explore your relationship with your body.
You’ll be guided through a gentle, experiential practice and invited to stay curious, move at your own pace, and notice what your body is communicating.
The practice changes from session to session, so each month offers a new opportunity to explore body awareness from a different perspective.
Come as you are. There is nothing you need to prepare or know how to do.

A Gentle Invitation
You don’t need to know how to listen to your body before you begin.

Come as you are. There is nothing you need to fix, achieve, or get right.
Just a little space to notice what is already there.
Before You Join
No special preparation is required for this practice.
You don’t need to fast or avoid eating beforehand. If possible, you may simply find it more comfortable to have a lighter meal or snack rather than joining immediately after a heavy meal.
